DHL Supply to provide overnight deliveries of Saab Original parts
DHL Supply Chain has been awarded a contract by Orio UK, the sole supplier of Saab Original parts, to manage its next day delivery service. DHL will handle the delivery of a diverse range of parts – including service kits, brakes, airbags, batteries and more than 100 crash repair items – from Orio’s new parts distribution centre in Hatfield.
Corin Richards, Managing Director at Orio UK, commented: “With over 180,000 Saab vehicles active on UK roads there is an on-going need for Saab parts, although many garages and bodyshops believe they are difficult to get hold of. This is a misperception that we are now addressing. With our new UK distribution centre now open and fulfilling orders next day, we can genuinely say that servicing and repair of Saabs has never been easier.”
Bill Bacon, MD of Automotive at DHL Supply Chain, added: “By leveraging DHL’s knowledge in aftermarket service, we are providing Orio with the logistics and infrastructure it requires to meet customer demand and ensure that parts are with garages in optimum time”.
The system’s track and trace technology will give Orio full visibility and traceability of parts throughout the delivery.
