Netherlands grocer opens 100th Pick Up Point

Netherlands grocer Jumbo Supermarkten has officially opened its 100th Pick Up Point. The Pick Up Point in Zwaagdijk was launched today (25 August).

The company launched its online retail service at www.jumbo.com last year. Customers can arrange next-day pick up at selected Jumbo Supermarkten stores as well as conveniently-located “solo pick-up points”.

When launching the e-commerce operation in November last year, Jumbo’s eCommerce director Roland van den Berg commented: “Home delivery is something we will consider for the future because we have created a dedicated e-fulfilment facility, which can easily serve home delivery.” Sources have now reported that the home delivery option may be coming soon.
