New parcel drop-and-collect service for Thailand’s Skytrain stations

WP Group has started rolling out its network of Skybox parcel drop-and-collect points at Thailand’s Skytrain stations. Skybox’s one-day delivery service will lets customers drop, collect and return packages at Skytrain stations. Post&Parcel’s UK readers may notice that the service bears some resemblance to the Doddle offering.

Skybox is now up and running at six Skytrain stations: Mor Chit, Ari, Victory Monument, National Stadium, Thong Lor and Chong Nonsi. Local sources report that the company is looking to expand its delivery service to the underground train network in 2016.

Sources report that delivery costs are 35 baht for one kilogramme (which is slightly cheaper than the post office) with each extra kg costing an additional 10 baht.

WP Group was established in 2013 by Apipat Lertritsirikul, chief executive officer, Ornchulee Wisitthadakul, chief administration officer, and Thanawat Laithongkam, chief operating officer.
