Snapdeal introduces “instant refunds”

Indian e-commerce player Snapdeal has announced that it will be introducing an “instant refunds” system for its online shoppers. The refunds will be made through an Immediate Payment Systems (IMPS) transfer, which can be accessed on mobile phones as well as PCs.

Snapdeal may have been spurred by Flipkart’s announcement a few weeks ago that it would offering IMPS refunds within 24 hours. Snapdeal has now matched – and raised – that offer, by saying that it will provide the transfer within 90 minutes.

In June, Snapdeal did its first enhancement of its refund system by promising that it would complete return requests within 90 minutes.
