Flipkart opening new fulfilment centre in Hyderabad

Flipkart is opening a new fulfilment centre in Hyderabad, according to local sources. The facility will be Flipkart’s 16 warehouse in India – and also its largest.

Hyderabad is the capital city of Telangana state. Flipkart already has three fulfilment centres in Telangana: one in Whitefield and two in Jigani.

A report published in The Times of India claimed that Flipkart chose to set up its new facility in Telangana and rather than Karnataka because of the Karnataka government’s unwillingness to reverse a disputed e-commerce taxation regime.
