Clarks awards contract extension to Hermes

Hermes has secured a two-year contract extension to continue providing online delivery services to Clarks, the international shoe manufacturer and retailer. Hermes has distributed around three million parcels for Clarks since winning the contract in 2012.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hermes will provide both a next day delivery service and a 3-5 day standard delivery service to all of Clarks’ UK-based consumers.

Hermes expects to handle around 1.6 million parcels for Clarks during 2015, with volumes anticipated to increase over the length of the contract.

Hermes added that it is working closely with Clarks to finalise plans ahead of the peak season by analysing forecasted volumes and confirming collection schedules.

Peter Scraton, Clarks Group Logistics Director, said: “We have been delighted with the way Hermes has worked with us on innovative solutions and service improvements for our customers. These are exciting and challenging times in the digital world we look forward to continuing our partnership into the future.”
