Ceska posta expands electronic mail services
The Czech Post Office Ceska posta has started offering registered electronic mail that can replace classic registered letters, daily Pravo writes today.
The new services has already lured interest of health insurance companies and hospitals as they are processing thousands of sets of reports monthly, which have to be sent on floppy disks in registered mail, the daily writes.
“The new service will be advantageous also for other clients,” Ceska posta spokesman Ladislav Vancura told Pravo, adding that a client needs only to pay a one-off fee to use the service.
Ceska posta, which faces a growing use of the Internet and mobile communications, is boosting its electronic services portfolio, which has thus far included so called hybrid mail, within which customer’s data in a digital form are delivered to the addressee in the form of classic mail, the daily writes.
According to CTK files, Ceska posta grossed Kc743m last year on operating revenues of Kc14.5bn. It operates 3,400 post offices and employs 39,600 people.
