Mumbai-based on-demand courier startup Sendd closes seed round of funding

The Mumbai-based on-demand courier startup company Sendd has announced that it has closed its seed round of funding. The company, which started up in April this year, says that it specialises in “catering to the first mile logistics of couriering in Mumbai”.

In a statement issued on Wednesday (4 November), Sendd said that it “delivers all over India as well as internationally”.

Pick-ups are available between 10am- 7pm and may be scheduled via Sendd’s mobile app. All items are insured for up to Rs. 10,000 with special insurance for electronic items at 2% of their price. The company said that users can arrange their deliveries in three quick steps: “Open the app, Click a photo of the parcel and schedule a pick up.”

Sennd was founded by three Mumbai-based entrepreneurs: Nav Agarwal, Sumeet Wadhwa and Sargun Singh Gulati.
