MatahariMall.com expands parcel locker network
MatahariMall.com has extended its network of e-commerce parcel lockers in Indonesia. According to local sources, the company now has parcel lockers installed at 27 locations in Jakarta, Bali, Palembang and Medan and it plans to continue to rolling out to more sites in the future.
The company is also said to be looking to set up deals with “several major universities” to install locker facilities on their campuses.
MatahariMall.com, which is part of the Lippo Group and linked to the Matahari department stores, launched a beta version of online market place in February and officially launched in September.
Hadi Wenas, the CEO of MatahariMall.com, has described the website as an “online super-marketplace where everyone can buy everything and anyone can sell anything.”
Timothy Martin, the Head of Online Marketing for MatahariMall.com, has claimed that the website’s business has been growing rapidly since its launch. “Our customers are attracted to our wide range of products, low prices, and the option to pick up their goods at Matahari Department Stores or our eLockers,” he claimed.
