Lithuania Post raises funds through sale of unused real estate

Lithuania Post has reported that it has raised about €2m this year through the sale of unused real estate assets. In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today, the company said that the assets sold have been those which “do not comply with the strategy of the company and are not actively used anymore”.

Lithuania Post has participated in five auctions this year and it plans to organize one more this month.

Gytis Kundrotas, the Director of Lithuania Post’s Legal and Administrative Affairs Division, commented: “We hope that at the current recovery of the real estate market, there will appear business entities or private individuals that will acquire suggested objects and adjust them for an alternative use.”
