CornerDrop using crowdfunding site to raise investment
Parcel delivery solution provider CornerDrop is using crowdfunding site Seedrs to raise new investment. According to its page on the Seedrs website, CornerDrop is looking to raise £40,000 in exchange for 3% of equity.
The funding campaign has so far raise around £7,000.
CornerDrop has created an alternative delivery address platform which allows consumers to create their own CornerDrop. It covers the UK and provides the technical means for online retailers, consumers and other couriers to offer the CornerDrop network as a delivery option, without changing any delivery solutions they have in place.
CornerDrop told Post&Parcel that it is building up a UK network of parcel collection points that are effectively open to any retailer or any courier. Currently, its network encompasses 750 locations across the UK, and it is looking to expand the network to more than 2,500 locations by next summer.
The business was founded by Andrew Lasota, who was previously Director of Unipart Polska SA and UK Distribution lead for Volkswagen’s parts distribution facilities.
Lasota appeared on the UK TV programme “The Monkey Pit” last week and secured £12,000 in funding from the investors.
