DHL tabs Larson as U.S. sales VP
DHL Worldwide Express has appointed Martin Larson as its new vice president of sales for the U.S.
Larson will oversee all aspects of sales including managing field sales and special services, business development, sales planning and administration.
Larson will report to Randy Clark, DHL’s senior vice president for sales and marketing in the Americas.
Prior to joining DHL, Larson served as senior vice president, sales and marketing at Consolidated Freightways, where he directed all sales and marketing strategy, customer service and pricing activities.
CF, which was the nation’s third-largest less-than-truckload carrier, shut down all operations on Sept. 2 and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection the next day.
Larson will be based in DHL’s Portland, Ore., office. He replaces Joseph Curtis, who has assumed the role of regional sales director for Los Angeles.
