US Postal service partners with Barthco

The US Postal Service and Barthco International Inc. recently signed an agreement that makes Barthco the key logistics company responsible for distributing international small-package parcels to the US.

The new business cooperation, called the International Customized Mail Agreement (ICM), is part of a recent US Postal initiative to partner with prominent commercial businesses in the transportation of overseas goods.

As a result of the deal, Barthco has created USA Priority Packages service, which delivers packages within five business days from a foreign shipper to a consignee in the US. The service also includes preparing Customs clearance documentation and depositing parcels into the USPS system for final delivery.

The new service is expected to result in a 25% cost reduction and faster delivery rate into the US compared to traditional expedited service providers.
