Deutsche Post to continue operating digital signatures

Deutsche Post, the German postal service operator, has announced that it is to continue operating its loss-making digital signature subsidiary Signtrust. It had been due to withdraw entirely from the business, as announced at the end of May, but will remain in operation.

In October of last year the company announced that it would achieve annual turnover of 50m euros in two to three years, and expected to make a profit in 2004.
