Ochoa on expansion course in Granada

Transportes Ochoa has built a new sorting centre at Fuenta Vaqueros. Costing Eur 2.7m, the facility is situated in the La Fuente industrial zone and is the 7th such hub owned by Ochoa in Andalusia. The other 6 terminals are at Almeria, Cadiz, Cordoba, Jaen, Malaga and Seville. The Fuente terminal features an automatic parcle sorting and conveyor system and is connected with the other centres by scheduled services.

The automatic handling system is modular and thus can easily be extended at any time. At present it consists of 4 automatic scanners, 6 electronic scales, 3 robotic telscopic loading arms and 22 sorting conveyors. The facility can handle 4000 packets per hour.
