On-demand delivery platform Fastvan set for February launch

Startup company Fastvan is set to launch its on-demand delivery platform in South Africa in February, according to local sources. According to Fastvan, its app will “allow users to post details for whatever service they require courier, removal or delivery and then take a picture or upload an image and details of the item that needs to be moved”.

Fastvan says that it is building up a “network of leading couriers” who – in the next stage of the process – are “able to accept the shipping requests, while customers can choose to accept the quote, or request another quote from a different courier”.

The app is available on the iPhone App Store as well as the Google Play Store for Android devices.

According to local reports, Fastvan plans to launch in South Africa next month, and then expand to other African countries next year.
