An Post’s DeliveryBox launches nationally

An Post has announced that its DeliveryBox service has now been launched nationwide. The wall-mounted DeliveryBox, which began rolling out on a regional basis in October, can be used for both letters and parcels. An Post’s smart scanning system acts as proof of delivery, so there’s no need for a signature, and the customer is informed when a delivery has been made.

DeliveryBox operates as an addition to An Post’s existing mails and parcels services. Starting yesterday (1 February), local post offices and mail delivery units nationwide have been promoting the service and  – according to An Post – early interest has been promising.

The DeliveryBox system is priced at €69.99 – for which the customer gets the weather-resistant delivery box, access keys, unique barcode security feature, installation template and activation card. DeliveryBox will be delivered within five working days of ordering.

In addition to using the box to receive their post and parcels, customers can also leave stamped mail or online shopping returns in the box for collection by their postperson.
