DHL expands its business in China on a large scale

DHL announced recently that they would prompt the business development in China by means of brand promotion. It expected to enhance commercial development and competitiveness of the company. With this new market orientation and value, DHL expected to maintain its leading position in the large potential and competitive market in China.

Recently, the market occupancy of DHL was over 30% in the global airline express delivery market. Its occupancy in China was up to 37%. The Chairman of the board and CEO of DHL expressed that DHL would build 10 branches in China to increase the total number to 50. The express business of DHL would be the largest international express enterprises in China by then. At the same time, DHL announced that they would co-invest with Hong Kong Huamin Aviation Co., Ltd, affiliated to Cathay Pacific. Both sides would invest USD 400 millions to build the Asian largest cargo planes fleet.

It was said that since the beginning of this year, the investment of DHL in Asian-Pacific region made up one third of that of the world. Among them, the investment of DHL to China is the largest in the region. All these actions indicated that DHL would improve their brands and service in the potential Chinese airline express market.
