Dematic appoints new Business Solutions Sales Director

Dematic has appointed Matt Hatson as Business Solutions Sales Director for the UK, Ireland, Northern Europe and Scandinavia. The firm provides a wide range of integrated automated technology, software and services for supply chain optimization – including parcel sorting systems.

After graduating from Leicester University with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1992, Hatson joined GEC Alsthom. He gained experience in nuclear materials handling and baggage handling systems during the time he spent serving in a number of roles at GEC before moving on to Babcock’s Marine Division in 2004.

While at Babcock he was instrumental in winning the contract to design and install the automated storage systems that are at the heart of the Royal Navy’s two new Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers.
