Finnish Post plans early morning mail deliveries

The Finnish Post wants to make the deliveries earlier.

According to the plans, most Finns would receive their mail and newspapers before leaving for work.

Current deliveries mean that most Finns get the mail between 0900 and noon, while a small number of Finns have to wait until after 1300 for the mail.

The reform, which is expected to step into force in two years, would mean that most deliveries would be carried out as early as 0600. The change would give the Finnish Post the savings needed, according to the Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
