Palletways Birmingham wins HiB contract

Palletways Birmingham has secured a contract with the bathroom product manufacturer, HiB Ltd. Tamworth-based HiB Ltd has appointed Palletways Birmingham as its main ‘pallet’ haulier following a successful trial period in 2015.

The logistics firm will handle 7,500 pallets per year and will deliver HiB’s products across the whole of the UK.

Founded in 1990, HiB specialises in the design and manufacture of bathroom products from mirrors, cabinets and furniture through to ventilation and lighting.

Emma Aherne, field sales manager at Palletways Birmingham, said: “We’ve been working with HiB for over twelve months now and this contract truly consolidates the great relationship we have with the company.”

Richard Berry, operations manager at HiB, added: “Throughout our trial period, we’ve been very impressed with how Palletways Birmingham has worked with us – as one team – to support us in meeting the increase in demand for our products.”

Berry added: “As part of the Palletways network, Palletways Birmingham can also offer a lot of opportunities for growth thanks to its innovative IT systems and wide geographical coverage in the UK and Europe.”

Palletways Birmingham, based at Fradley, has a 30-strong fleet, handles a total of 300,000 pallets a year and employs 60 staff in the Midlands.
