Saturday Morning Trial for Post Office

Australia Post is running a four-month trial of Saturday morning trading at the Neutral Bay Junction Post Shop on the corner of Military Rd and Barry St.

If it is successful, the extended times will become the standard operating hours.

The office is now opening on Saturday between 9.30am and 12.30pm and Australia Post says all normal services will operate.

“Australia Post’s out of business hours retail operations vary from place to place and some outlets like Neutral Bay are open on Saturday mornings to offer customers an extra service,” area manager Dennis Killeen said. Australia Post will conduct continuous assessments of the popularity of the service throughout the trial period.

“If residents are keen for the office to continue opening on Saturday mornings we urge them to make use of the additional opening hours during the trial,” Mr Killeen said.

“More than 70 per cent of Australia Post outlets are open on Saturday mornings and we hope that a successful trial period will mean Neutral Bay can be added to this list,” he said.
