Amazon offering restaurant deliveries in Manhattan and Dallas

Amazon has announced today (17 May) that is offering free one-hour delivery from local restaurants to Amazon Prime members in Manhattan and Dallas. Prime members access the service through either the Prime Now mobile app or the news Prime Now website.

Customers can view participating restaurants, browse menus, place orders, track the status of their delivery, and watch as their delivery driver travels from the restaurant to the delivery address in real time.

Once an order is placed, Amazon delivery partners deliver the food in one hour or less. Amazon Restaurants offers customers transparent pricing – there are no menu markups or hidden service fees – and delivery on all orders is free for Prime members.

In Manhattan, Amazon is working with 350 local restaurants, including Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken, Burger Joint, ilili, John’s of Bleecker Street, Junior’s Restaurant & Cheesecake, Momofuku Milk Bar, Num Pang and Sarabeth’s Tribeca.
