New CEO for Critiqom

Charles Sweeney has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Critiqom, following the recent departure of former Managing Director Neil McCallum. Sweeney has held senior management positions within a number of technology companies. Most recently he held the position of CEO at Bloxx Ltd, the web and email filtering technology provider which was acquired by Akamai Technologies last year. His career includes ten years with outsourcer Telecom Service Centres.

Commenting on Sweeney’s appointment, Gerry Crawley, Vice Chairman of Critiqom, said: “Charles brings a wealth of experience and a strong background in outsourcing and technology.  We look forward to Charles building on the strong foundations already developed by Neil McCallum and the team.”

Sweeney took up his new role on 9 May 2016. He will oversee the enhancement of Critiqom’s core transactional print and mail service offering and will drive further business development.

Sweeney commented: “This is an exciting period for the business – Critiqom has achieved remarkable growth in the last 5 years, backed by Archangel funding.  We will be further developing our offering in line with customer expectations and demands, not least with the addition of technology led multi-channel communication solutions. I look forward to playing a part in the next stage of the company’s success.”

Founded in 2007 under its previous trading name of Document Outsourcing Ltd, Critiqom operates from sites in Glasgow, Warrington, Birmingham, Newcastle, Cardiff and London, delivering data, print, post and multichannel services to target vertical markets in the public and private sectors.
