FKI Logistex wins contract worth up to 25 mln Euro from La Poste

FKI PLC said its FKI Logistex Crisplant business has won a contract from La Poste, the French national mail delivery service, to provide sorting equipment to five of La Poste’s regional parcel centres in a deal worth as much as 25 mln eur.

The contract for each centre is worth 5 mln eur. The first of the centres, near Lille, is set to open in late summer 2003, with centres in Rennes and Lyon expected to open in 2004. The timing of the final two centres has yet to be decided.

FKI PLC chief executive Bob Beeston said that despite a difficult market, the group as a whole has seen its order book rise 14 pct during the half year.
