Product Care use Paragon software for white-glove delivery solution

Product Care has chosen Paragon’s routing and scheduling software for its white-glove home delivery service. The system will help manage Product Care’s fleet of 3.5, 7.5 and 26-tonne vehicles, which are used for its UK-wide delivery operation.

Product Care provides retail fulfilment of electrical goods direct to the consumer from three depots in Wigan, Glasgow and Luton. The one-and two-man deliveries typically operate five-days a week, handling between 750 and 1,000 orders each week. This increases up to a seven-day service during peak periods and is supported by third-party carriers for some more remote areas and Saturday deliveries.

The company plans to double the size of its fleet by the end of year and add two new depots so it can handle a greater proportion of volumes in-house and increase capacity in line with forecasted levels of growth.

Moving forward, Product Care will integrate Paragon’s multi drop route planning software with its Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to provide it with a complete view of core business processes.

The company is also in the process of adopting Paragon fleXipod, a mobile proof of delivery and fulfilment software product.
