Strike action affecting Belgian post on Monday

Belgian postal deliveries have been affected by a strike today (Monday, 13 June), but sorting centres will re-open on Tuesday. Sources at bpost confirmed to Post&Parcel that the industrial action has been taking place today, which has affected mail transportation, sorting and delivery, but added that it was a one-day protest.

According to local sources, the unions have called their strike to show their opposition to possible privatisation proposals, and voice their concern over perceived structural problems.
