Europa launches daily Hannover service
Europa Road has launched a new daily service to Hannover. The route, with onward connections to Hamburg and Bremen, is the fourth of 10 planned for this year as part of the company’s plan to expand its European footprint and follows the launch of a direct route to Slovenia in April.
The new daily service further complements Europa’s existing German connections, increasing them from five to six, and will also see further expansion of the company’s partner network as it works closely with Hannover-based firm Koester and Hapke, Bursped in Hamburg and BHS in Bremen.
The route will run both to and from Hannover, with cargo routed for Hamburg and Bremen daily via this platform. The haulage will be operated by Europa on double manned trucks working to a fixed round trip schedule, operating between its £30m groupage facility, 1hub in Dartford and the German city.
Dan Cook, Operations Director at Europa Road, said: “We are well on track to meet our ambitious target of 10 new routes in 2016 and this service to Hannover is just another step towards meeting our goal. Along with our existing five daily German routes (Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Ense and Rothlein), Hannover is yet another part of our strategic programme to become a leading logistics operator on the German market and further strengthen our growing partner network. ”
Currently, Europa Road has 35 road routes servicing Europe, 19 of which operate as daily services.
