BCW Engineering appoints B&H Worldwide to manage inbound deliveries

BCW Engineering has appointed B&H Worldwide to manage the inbound delivery of its rotative components for use in specialist engines in equipment around the world. B&H Worldwide has designed a solution which enables BCW Engineering to import the rotative components from Chennai in India in a far more efficient way – which means that BCW can lower its inventory levels due to faster restocking.

“It’s all about understanding how we improve each individual customer’s supply chain to make it more efficient and in this case the import solution we created for BCWs moving parts which can be up to 1,000 kg per shipment,” says B&H Worldwide’s Regional Customer Solutions Manager, Alistair McVicar.

“Fast turnarounds, excellent customer service and improved visibility are essential when BCW is responsible for supporting such a wide range of engine users.”

Previously all parts destined for BCW Engineering’s facilities at Burnley, Lancashire were moved by ocean freight. These parts now move on weekly airfreight consolidations, with more visibility through tracking via the B&H OnTrack system.
