Mach 1 buys Destination Courier

Mach 1 Couriers has bought Destination Courier Services (which trades as Destinations Green). Destinations Green, which was established in 1985, will be brought under the Mach 1 umbrella which already comprises of 19 courier businesses, including A to Z Couriers and Pink Express.

Destinations Green has a fleet of 50 passenger cars and couriers and more than 600 corporate accounts ranging from well-known fashion brands to financial institutions.

The company will continue to trade under its current name in the short-term.

As part of the arrangement, ten members of staff have been taken on by Mach 1 Couriers.

In a statement issued by Mach 1 on Friday (29 July), Jeremy Thompson, Managing Director, of Mach 1 Couriers,  commented: “We are delighted to have acquired the well-established Destinations Green business and it represents a good investment for the Company. As part of our strategic growth aspirations this will add significant revenues to our business along with an increased fleet and job count. Our customers remain the utmost priority for us and we will continue to provide excellent services in same day, UK Overnight and international deliveries as well as passenger transport.”
