New Managing Director appointed at Intersoft

James Macrae, the Managing Director and founder of Intersoft Systems & Programming, will be retiring at the end of the year – and James Thomas will take over as the new Managing Director on 1 November. After working in the delivery industry for more than 40 years, Macrae will be leaving the world of parcels.  Following the acquisition of Intersoft by Royal Mail Group in April, Macrae said the time is right for new leadership to take the company forward.

Thomas has worked at Intersoft for over 15 years, starting as a salesman and working his way up to his current position as General Manager. Thomas has excellent experience of the industry and its technology.

Thomas commented: “These are exciting times here at Intersoft, with the continued growth of the company over the last few years, Intersoft is ready to expand both its customer base and suite of solutions.  I welcome the opportunity to lead our dedicated team towards continued development of our products, services and customer base.”

The planned release of a new version of the cloud-based Intelligent Shipper delivery management software is the next step in this period of planned growth and expansion.
