Cross-Border quality

Post Danmark topped a cross-border quality survey carried out by the International Postal Corporation (IPC) within the EU.
It takes an average two days for letters to and from Denmark to reach their recipients. By comparison, it takes on average 2.2 days for a letter from the 18 European countries within the EU to reach its destination. The European Commission’s standrd for the delivery of mail within the EU specifies that 85 per cent of letters must be received within 3 days of posting.
“Post Danmark meets this standard fully. The measurements of Post Danmark for the first half-year show an on-time rate of 97.8 per cent of all outgoing cross-border letters. This is an increase on the same period last year when the on-time rate was 96.4 per cent ,” said the post.
In the first half of 2002, 96.5 per cent of all incoming cross-border letters were received within the first half of 2001 when 97.2 per cent of all incoming cross-border letters were delivered on time. In all the EU countries 93.9 per cent of letters on average were received within three days of posting.
