Roebucks contract win leads to new IY investment

Essex based Roebuck Transport has made a step-change in IT on the back of an important new contract. MD Doug Bolten says that the firm has invested £400,000 in software for pick and pack to alow customers to trace their products and POD records online.
The software was needed to a new 3 year, £900,000 contract with PEL Hostess to deliver furniture to schools and colleges in England and Wales.
Roebuck will collect from PEL-Hostess and move the furniture through its Manchester, Birmingham and London distribution centres.
