THG hires Nightline to spearhead quicker service for Irish customers

Nightline has been hired by the UK-based online retailer, The Hut Group, to spearhead a push to provide its growing Irish customer base with a quicker and more flexible service. The Hut Group’s (THG) Head of Logistics, Rob Millington, said that the firm was eager not to rest on its laurels despite doubling sales to the Republic and Northern Ireland within the last 12 months.

“Ireland is a pretty big and fast-growing market for us and Nightline knows the country better than anyone else. We’re now able to offer a next-day service across Ireland, something which we’d not provided before.

“In addition to excellent customer feedback, Nightline’s service and operational management has been first-rate. In our opinion, it knows Ireland better than anyone else.”

Earlier this year, THG announced that sales had risen by 35% during the 2015 calendar year with international orders performing particularly well – up 46% on the previous 12 months and now accounting for more than half of all Group sales.

Nightline is operating next-day shipments out of THG’s one million square foot Warrington premises via its 13-strong depot network spanning the island of Ireland.

John Tuohy, Nightline’s CEO, said that its processes were proving to be a perfect match for THG.

“We pride ourselves on continual improvement to support ambitious retailers like THG which are looking to satisfy the Irish market.

“Over the course of the next year, I fully expect that we’ll be doubling the considerable number of parcels which we already carry every day on behalf of THG.”
