Intelligent Print Solutions signs Royal Mail Direct Mail deal

Intelligent Print Solutions (IPS) has won the contract to handle the print for Royal Mail’s new interactive direct mail service for small businesses, DM Online.

Companies can use the online service to develop a piece of direct mail from conception to mailing.

The website enables customers to firstly assess what size of mailing they should undertake and gives options for purchasing or creating lists from scratch.

From there, users can access templates based around different business sectors, marketing application or mailing format. It is then submitted, checked and approved before going to Tonbridge-based IPS.

IPS sales director Matthew Stevens was involved with the research and development of the process for several months before launch.

‘As a project it’s right up our street. We control the flow of the artwork as well as doing all the flight-checking before we place with the appropriate printer. We also handle all the data and can do the lasering and enclosing in-house,’ said Stevens.

At each stage of the process the customer is aware of the current and total anticipated cost of the campaign and can track the project online.
