Seur expands in Portugal
The Spanish express service provider Seur is to double the number of its distribution facilities in Portugal to 14. The first construction phase of 2 platforms on Madeira and the Azores is scheduled for the beginning of next year.
Seur also plans to open a call centre in Lisbon sometime in the next 3 months. A second call centre in Porto will follow at a later date.
The company estimates that its expansion plans in Portugal will require an investment of around Eur 22 million. With this move, Seur hopes to increase its share of the market for express parcel services in Portugal from the current 4% tto 10% by 2004.
