FedEx VP joins US DOT Advisory Committee on Automation in Transportation

FedEx Vice President for Operations and Service Support Gloria Boyland has been named to the new US Department of Transportation Advisory Committee on Automation in Transportation (ACAT).

The ACAT team, which is comprised of 25 leading professionals and experts in their field, serves as a critical resource for the DOT in “framing federal policy for the continued development and deployment of automated transportation”.

The DOT will soon be headed by Elaine Chao, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for the position of Transportation Secretary. Chao attended a nomination hearing with the US Senate’s Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation on Wednesday (11 January).
