Construction at DPD Bristol facility on course for June finish

Property developer Stoford has reported the construction work on the new £12m DPD distribution centre at Vertex Park near Bristol is on track for completion in June. The steel frame and roof at the new 68,792 sq ft unit have already been completed.

Stoford director Alex Morgan commented: “It’s great to see the development at Vertex Park making very good progress and we are on course to reach practical completion in June. DPD has built a strong delivery network right across the country and this will be further enhanced with its expansion into the South West.”

DPD’s Louise Ferguson added: “Vertex Park is part of a major infrastructure investment programme for DPD in 2017.  Our rapid growth in recent years means that up and down the country we are expanding our operation.

“Purpose-built distribution centres such as this give us a huge advantage over our competitors. It will be a state-of-the-art facility, in a great location, with room for us to continue growing.

“I’m really pleased with the progress to date and plans are already well advanced for our team to get on site and start preparing for the first parcels later this year.”
