Amazon cuts free shipping minimum spend back to $35

Amazon has reduced the minimum spend required for free shipping in the US back to $35. The online retail giant raised the US free shipping threshold from $35 to $49 in February 2016, but has now moved it back down.

For books, the threshold is still set at just $25.

There has been no official announcement on the threshold change, but it is assumed that Amazon is responding to Walmart’s decision earlier this month to offer a two-day free shipping service for orders over $35.
