Posti announces early-morning delivery merger

Posti has announced it will merge its early-morning delivery, or newspaper delivery, under its subsidiary, Posti Palvelut. Four out of five publicly listed newspaper publishers in Finland use Posti’s early-morning delivery.

Posti Palvelut was established when Posti’s early-morning delivery expanded to Southeast Finland.

In a statement issued yesterday (27 June) Posti said its objective was “to make Posti Palvelut a vital player that operates on a national level”.

Posti said its “objective is to have all its early-morning delivery personnel under the same collective agreement”.

The company added that the “internal change will not cause dismissals or changes to newspaper subscribers or other mail recipients”.
