Connect Group completes sale of Education and Care division

Connect Group, the owner of Smiths News, Pass My Parcel and Tuffnells, has completed the sale of its Education and Care division to RM. In a statement issued today (30 June), Mark Cashmore, Group Chief Executive, said the company will use the cash proceeds from the deal to reduce the Connect Group’s borrowings.

“This will provide greater flexibility in the pursuit of developing the capabilities of the businesses within the News & Media and Parcel Freight divisions to secure further efficiencies and generate organic growth opportunities,” added Cashmore.
