French post office dives into venture-capital pool

French post office La Poste has revealed that it has set up a venture-capital subsidiary. The new entity, which is known as XAnge Capital, will begin operating with a capital stock of around 50m euros. Its chairman, Herve Schricke, explained that it will invest in companies operating in areas related to those of La Poste, namely express parcel services, mail and financial services.
