Amazon Robotics Challenge

Amazon Robotics Challenge

Sixteen teams are set to compete in the Amazon Robotics Challenge, which gets underway tomorrow (27 July) in Nagoya Japan. Taking place alongside RoboCup 2017, the Amazon Robotics Challenge will this year feature “enhanced” versions of its pick and stow tasks.

The robots will be evaluated based on the number of items they successfully retrieve and store within a designated period, and judged on abilities like object recognition, posture control, and grasp planning. A total of US$250,000 will be awarded to the winning teams.
