Tibbett and Britten awarded contract with luxury brands group

UK based international logistics service provider, Tibbett & Britten Group plc, has won a contract in the UK with luxury brands groups, LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy). (5/13/2003)

Tibbett & Britten first started working with LVMH in the spring of 2001 when it established a central warehousing and distribution service for the company’s Fendi and Celine brands, following the opening of their London flagship stores that year. The leading logistics specialist then went on to serve all UK stores and concessions for both brands. Products handled include high-value accessories, shoes, etc., for Fendi and ready-to-wear clothing and accessories for Celine.

Last summer, Tibbett & Britten extended its operations further by setting up a national warehousing and distribution service for LVMH’s Loewe brand, along with UK distribution for Louis Vuitton merchandise – covering stores and concessions across London. Products are mainly high value suedes and leathergoods for Loewe, and luggage and accessories for Louis Vuitton.

The logistics specialist has now formalised this business with the luxury goods company with the signing in May 2003 of a contract covering the continuing provision of UK logistics services for all four brands: Fendi, Celine, Loewe and Louis Vuitton.

Tibbett & Britten also provides added value services, including receipt and checking, ticketing/labelling, etc. The Louis Vuitton logistics operations were taken over from a competitor, while Loewe’s work was previously handled in-house by LVMH.
