Wincanton plans to establish haulage base at DP World London Gateway

Wincanton has announced plans to establish a 2.5-acre container haulage base at DP World London Gateway. The new facility, set to be operational from early 2018, will provide truck parking alongside office facilities housing an on-site operations team.

Chris Fenton, MD Industrial & Transport, Wincanton, commented: “As a major logistics provider, it’s important for us to make sure we have the right facilities in the right places. We’ve been moving customer containers in and out of DP World London Gateway since it opened, and have seen an increase in our customers’ needs in that location as the site has grown.

“The location has excellent links to our wider transport network, and this new facility represents a great opportunity to grow our presence in a key strategic location.”

Wincanton currently operates from more than 200 locations across the UK and Ireland, with around 3,600 vehicles providing transport and distribution services.
