Hermes officially opens new logistics centre in Mainz

Hermes Germany has officially opened its new logistics centre in Mainz. The company held an celebratory ceremony yesterday (27 September) that was attended by more than 200 guests.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel, Hermes said that the new Mainz facility will in the future be able to handle up to 60 million shipments a year.

The company has an ongoing plan to invest around €300m overall in its infrastructure.

As previously reported, Hermes has also been expanding its facilities in the UK. On 18 August, for example, the company officially opened its new “Midlands Super Hub” in  Rugby.
