Danish Govt Prepares To Reduce Stake In Post Danmark

The Danish Ministry of Transport said Friday it is going ahead with preparations to reduce the state’s 100% holding in the national postal services Post Danmark A/S.
This is following a report commissioned by the government from the investment bank Rothschild.

Denmark’s right-wing minority government has been mulling a selldown for some time but it has yet to get broad parliamentary backing to sell an expected 25% stake in the postal services.

The report recommends that a divestment to a strategic investor or financial investor would be better than listing on the stock market.

Post Danmark had sales of 10.8 billion Danish kroner ($1=DKK6.3395) in 2002.
