Rhenus opens new Manchester facility

Freight forwarder Rhenus Logistics UK opened the doors of its new Manchester facility to customers last week.

Rhenus is only the second company to have a depot at the Port Salford complex, which is the UK’s first inland tri-modal port facility,

The move to the new facility coincided with the increased integration of Rhenus’ core roadfreight business with Staples International, which it acquired in 2016. According to Rhenus, the new relationship has resulted in a multimodal facility capable of providing shippers with a comprehensive logistic solution by road, air and ocean.
