Yamato reports Q3 profit

Yamato reports Q3 profit

Japanese parcel delivery company Yamato has reported a profit for the third quarter (Q3) of FY2018, after three successive quarterly losses.

In a consolidated trading report issued today (30 January), Yamato raised its forecasted operating profit for the full year (which will end on 31 March) to 31bn yen.

The company has reportedly upped its profits by raising its rates and implementing cost-saving measures.

Meanwhile, Yamato last week announced the opening  “47 Fresh From JAPAN” – a store which sells Japanese agricultural and fishery products in the Bangkok Tokyu Department Store Paradise Park in Thailand. Yamato is providing the transportation operations in both Japan and Thailand for the new venture.
