ID Logistics supporting E.Leclerc’s home delivery and click & collect services in Paris

ID Logistics has announced that it will be supporting hypermarket chain E.Leclerc’s e-commerce business in Paris with home delivery and click-and-collect services.

The heart of the new operation will be ID Logistics’ warehouse in Pantin, just outside Paris city limits.

In a statement issued yesterday (8 March), ID Logistics said that the new 6,000m2 facility will initially carry close to 9,500 SKUs, including fruit and vegetables, organic products, fresh produce, frozen foods and dry goods. To meet the requirements of a food e-commerce picking operation, the platform has been built to accommodate delivery vehicles and to handle three temperature levels.

The statement added: “ID Logistics will organise and optimise the distribution activities with the various transportation operators selected to guarantee seamless coordination between order-taking and delivery. This smooth coordination will be achieved with the help of E.Leclerc’s new information system – TMS (Acteos) combined with WMS (Infomil).

“The Pantin site will be supplied daily by the new Scapnor platform in Bruyères sur Oise equipped with a complete automation solution set up by the German manufacturer Witron.

Eric Hémar, Chairman and CEO of ID Logistics, commented: “ID Logistics is proud to be supporting E.Leclerc again on its latest venture. For us, this partnership represents another milestone in the rapid growth of food ecommerce, and our goal is to be the partner of choice for the major retail chains. Our teams work hard every day to fulfil the promise of rapid and reliable delivery for our customers’ customers.”
